Melanie Colón Posted December 7, 2015 Share Posted December 7, 2015 The Gulf Research Program of the National Academies of Sciences,Engineering, and Medicine is accepting applications for its 2016 Early-Career Research Fellowships and Science Policy Fellowships atwww.nas.edu/gulf/fellowships.The two-year Early-Career Research Fellowships recognize tenure trackfaculty (or equivalent) for exceptional leadership, past performance, andpotential for future contributions to improving oil system safety, humanhealth and well-being, or environmental protection. Fellows’ areas ofresearch may include the social and behavioral sciences, health andmedicine, engineering, earth and life sciences, and relevantinterdisciplinary fields.The one-year Science Policy Fellowships place doctoral students andprofessionals who have received their graduate degrees in the past fiveyears with a state environmental, natural resources, oil and gas, or publichealth agency, or in the regional office of a relevant federal agency in theGulf of Mexico region.
