Job Category: Training
Website: http://www.powdermillarc.org/
Salary: $650 registration fee
Start Date: 09/16/2015

Description: I am pleased to announce that we will be hosting our fall workshop Wednesday 9/16 through Sunday 9/20. The workshop will begin before dawn on Wednesday (9/16) and end Sunday (9/20) at noon. Participants will want to arrive Tuesday evening (9/15) prior to the workshop. The majority of time will be spent in the field with live birds; however, these sessions will be complemented with some afternoon or evening presentations. This workshop is an excellent primer for NABC (North American Banding Council) Bander Certification as we will cover banding ethics, banding methodology, molt terminology, and use of the Pyle Guide. The focus of this workshop is to decode the “Pyle Guide”, discuss molt terminology, and teach ageing passerines using molt limits; therefore, participants are expected to have prior experience handling and extracting birds from nets. The cost is $650 per person. On site lodging (with kitchen) and breakfast is included.

If you are interested in this or future workshops please fill out the following Google Form: http://goo.gl/forms/kaQiLhs1aZ

Submission of the google form does not guarantee a place in the workshop. Space is limited, therefore priority will be given to those with opportunities to continue to utilize the skills we teach through work or volunteering.

Qualifications: Prior handling and banding experience for advanced participants, beginner slots are currently full.
