Multivariate Analysis of Ecological Data

27 January - 6 February 2015, Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic

*********************************************************************

Are you a researcher or PhD student in ecology or nature protection?

Have you collected data that are best analysed with multivariate

statistical methods, but you are not sure how to start?

Do you already use simple ordination methods but want to understand

the more advanced stuff of constrained ordination (CCA, RDA, partial

analyses, testing hypotheses, variation partitioning, selecting

appropriate predictors)?

Come to our course of Multivariate Analysis of Ecological Data that

we have offered for 16 years and which was attended by nearly

300 students and researchers. We are offering a mixture of lectures

on theory, of practicals to master the methods with the Canoco 5

software, and of the work on your own data sets, all supplemented by

the social program so appreciated by the attendants of our past

courses.

All course details can be found at our web site:

http://regent.prf.jcu.cz

The course is now open for applications.

Both lectures and practicals are based on the contents of the second

edition of our textbook Multivariate Analysis of Ecological Data

using Canoco 5, which we have recently published with the Cambridge

University Press: http://www.cambridge.org/9781107694408

One of the lecturers is also the co-author of Canoco 5 and

CANOCO 4.5 software, as well of the TWINSPAN for Windows software.

Both lecturers studied and worked in the field of ecology, so

a no-nonsense explanation of all the statistical stuff is assured.

We look forward to see you on our course!
