    Remotely located on the north shore of Lake Superior, Thunder Cape Bird Observatory has been operating for more than 30 years. Our protocol asks us to monitor both spring and fall migrants by means of observations and formal capture and banding. Later in the season we also target Northern Saw-whet Owls.

    We are seeking an enthusiastic assistant who is able to identify at least 50% of the eastern birds of North America and is willing to participate in all of our banding and daily activities. Food and accommodation are provided for individuals staying for 3 or more weeks. Training is provided.
