Fern Davies Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 Matthew Halley is an evolutionary biologist, historian, and musician based at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University (ANSP) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He has lived in many countries around the world and has taken expeditions to remote places in search of scientific knowledge. Matthew is a fifth-generation American, born in Pennsylvania and descended from German-Slovak immigrants. His ancestors were soldiers, coal miners, mechanics, nurses, and teachers. To His knowledge, I am the first ornithologist in my family tree. This website is a place where I compile the fruits of my academic and musical activities. His ornithology articles are terrific - fascinating, well-written, and truly worth your time.
