For one, he's already got the girl. What's more, the calls could alert potential predators that an easy meal is near. In a new study, researchers found that the love sounds made by amorous peacocks drew eavesdropping females from afar. Announcing the fact that he's getting a girl could help a male attract additional mates, the researchers say.
