Griffith Wildlife Biology has two part time positions open for Ventura and LA Counties, California, for cowbird trap field technicians, to assist with endangered songbird recovery. A great entry level field biologist position along Southern California rivers.
Start dates early - mid June, daily rates (hourly and mileage included) range from Ventura $147 (averaging 4 hours, local miles) to LA $112 (averaging 3 hours, LA miles)
Own vehicle required, all other equipment provided. Must live within the area to be serviced (Ventura County preferred; some areas of LA County are workable.). Commitments for 3-5 days per week, 3-4 hours per day; LA June only, Ventura June - July (and several Ventura projects continue August - October, commitment TBD).
Please respond with a Resume with at least 2 References, and availability June-July 2024. Knowledge of local seed eating birds, including non-native brown-headed cowbirds, is desirable. However we will train all new techs.
