    Internship at Carolina Sandhills NWR in McBee, SC.  Main duties include conducting targeted point counts for Bachman's Sparrows, Brown-headed Nuthatches, and Bobwhite Quail using standardized playback vocalizations, data entry, collecting GPS data, and vegetation data.  Other duties include assisting with Red-cockaded Woodpecker nesting monitoring and assisting with environmental education events such as a Kids Fishing Derby and school groups. Internship starts 3/18/2024 and ends 6/9/2024.  Housing provided along with a $600/week living allowance and up to $1,100 one-time round-trip travel allowance.  Position eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award.
