Bayesian Population Analysis Workshop, Patuxent Wildlife Research Center July 8-12 2013

Recommended Posts

This is the 2nd announcement for the workshop listed in the Subject.

See details here.

There is still space available. The workshop covers Bayesian analyses using BUGS and JAGS software of a wide variety of models that are useful for population ecologists and managers, e.g., Poisson GLMMs, state-space models, closed population models, Cormack-Jolly-Seber and Jolly-Seber models, multistate models, ring-recovery models, integrated population models and hierarchical models for distribution and abundance in structured populations (i.e., site-occupancy and N-mixture models).

The workshop is based on the recent book by Kery and Schaub, "Bayesian Population Analysis using WinBUGS", published by Academic Press in 2012, a copy of which will be handed out to each participant.

Please also note the possibility to apply for a Jim Nichols Travel Award
