The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued new guidance for those acquiring import permits. The CDC Import Permit Program regulates the importation of infectious biological materials that could cause disease in humans in order to prevent their introduction and spread into the United States. Permits are required for the import infectious biological agents, infectious substances, or vectors, and can be obtained electronically. Permits are valid for one year and can include multiple shipments. You can read the CDC guidance here.
