Chris Custer Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 The Waterbird Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Gopi Sundar, as the new Editor-in-Chief of the Waterbird Society journal, Waterbirds. Dr. Sundar is a scientist with the Cranes and Wetlands Program of the Nature Conservation Foundation, India and co-Chair of the IUCN Stork, Ibis and Spoonbill Specialist Group. Dr. Sundar comes to us with a wealth of experience in waterbird conservation, landscape, urban and wetland ecology, as well as human and wildlife interactions. Dr. Sundar has published nearly 50 papers on a variety of topics in wetland and waterbird conservation. As our first Editor-in-Chief from outside North America, the society welcomes the opportunity that he will provide to connect more broadly with international leaders in waterbird conservation.
