November 2012 The International Ornithological Congress of Southeast Asia will be held in Khao Lak, 70 km north of Phuket International Airport from 27 to 29 November 2012. There are three days of scientific program with symposia, workshops, presentations and posters, room for discussion and field trips to exciting ornithological areas. We would like to invite all professional and amateur ornithologists, local or international, interested in any aspects relating to birds in Southeast Asia to join us at an International Ornithological Congress. The scientific programme of plenary talks, oral presentations, symposia, workshops, and poster sessions will be complemented by social events, a conference banquet, a welcome evening, and a range of post conference tours. This bird conference is the first organised specifically for Southeast Asian birds. It is our hope that it will become a regular event in the region in future years.
