Information on large predatory birds and open-nesting birds for nature film

Hello,

 

My name is Alex Grant and I am working with filmmakers Andy Young and Susan Todd of Archipelago Films, producing a giant screen nature film called Pondemonium. We are looking to feature a red-tailed hawk, barred owl or other large predatory bird native to New York as well as a blue jay, cardnial or other open-nesting bird. We will be filming in the spring and are looking for any information available on nest sites in New York state or anyone who has been doing nesting or breeding studies on these birds.
