Chris Merkord Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 International Ornithological Congress of Southeast Asia (IOCSEA) Phuket, Thailand, 27-29 Nov 2012 There are three days of scientific program with symposia, workshops, presentations and posters, room for discussion and field trips to exciting ornithological areas. We would like to invite all professional and amateur ornithologists, local or international, interested in any aspects relating to birds in Southeast Asia to join us at an International Ornithological Congress. The scientific program of plenary talks, oral presentations, symposia, workshops, and poster sessions will be complemented by social events, a conference banquet, a welcome evening, and a range of post conference tours. This bird conference is the first organized specifically for Southeast Asian birds. It is our hope that it will become a regular event in the region in future years. If you are interested in this bird congress and would like to be kept updated with further information, please send us your details. All ornithologists are invited to contribute oral and/or poster presentations to the scientific sessions. To apply for a place follow instructions for online submission on the conference website. Currently, we accept proposals for workshop or symposia only. Please follow the instructions on the webpage and submit the proposal to Swen Renner via email only (swen.renner@uni-ulm.de) by 15 Feb 2012. Submission of oral/poster presentations as well as registration for the conference will open shortly thereafter. For details, deadlines and news please have a look at the webpage which will be updated regularly.
