  • The same as the Title, but without any leading articles such as "The", "A", or "An". This field is used for sorting.

  • E.g. "Second edition". Don't bother putting "First edition" unless there are other editions.

  • The trade name of the company the book was published under, if the publisher has multiple imprints. Some publishers use different imprints to market works to different consumer segments.

  • The name of the society or organization on whose behalf the book was published, in the case where a separate publishing company actually published the book.

  • The earliest date published. This field is automatically filled in when a new record is added or when an existing record is edited. It is given the earliest of the publication dates from the various formats listed.

  • The year in which the book was first published. Not necessarily the copyright year. Should coincide with previous field Earliest Date Published.

  • City in which the book was published

  • Country in which the book was published

  • The URL for the book on the publisher's website.
