    Gateway National Recreation Area, a unit of the National Park Service, is hiring 10 seasonal biological science technicians (GS 0404-05) to assist with shorebird monitoring and other natural resource management in our Sandy Hook (Highlands, NJ) and Jamacia Bay (Brooklyn, NY) Units. Primary responsibility is monitoring and management to support beach nesting birds, including the federally threatened piping plover.

    The announcement will open at 12 am on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Only qualified applicants received by the first cut-off date (11:59 pm on February 1) will receive full consideration. Qualified applications received after the first cut-off date will only be considered if all positions cannot be filled by qualified applications received prior to that date.
