Chris Merkord
I like to keep an eye out for new titles being added by the folks at the Biodiversity Heritage Library. Just in the past few weeks, here are some of the ornithology-related texts that have been added: Diaries of William Brewster, 1911-1919 A monograph of the Turdidae, by Seebohm 1898-1899 Histoire naturelle des tangaras, des manakins et des todiers, by Desmarest 1805 Monographie des picidées, ou Histoire naturelle des picidés, picumninés, yuncinés ou torcols; t.2 (1862), by Malherbe 1862 Coloured illustrations of British birds, and their eggs, by Meÿer 1840's Odontornithes: a monograph on the extinct toothed birds of North America, by Marsh 1880 plus lots of natural histories, memoirs of naturalists, etc. All of these titles can be viewed full-text online and downloaded as PDFs. If you're into old books and journals, it's worth keeping an eye out for new bird publications added to BHL.
