Offering a global perspective, this resource is the world's largest index to literature on wild mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. Comprehensive coverage includes more than a million bibliographic records, many of which include abstracts, with topic areas such as studies of individual species, habitat types, hunting, economics, wildlife behavior, management techniques, diseases, ecotourism, zoology and taxonomy.

Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide is comprised of records from Wildlife Review Abstracts, formerly Wildlife Review, which until 1996 was a print publication produced by the U.S. National Biological Service. Approximately 18,000 records are added per year.
