The Boletin SAO is the organ of divulgation of the Antioquia Ornithological Society, and aside of being useful as a link amongst the society members, it looks for establishing bridges with the national and international ornithological community, to serve as a witness of the development of the ornithology in Antioquia and in Colombia, and to contribute to the education of their readers in a variety of topics about the life of birds, their study and conservation.
The Boletin SAO publishes original investigations, comments, book reviews, bibliographic revisions and bird illustrations and photographs, in English or Spanish. Although all kind of contributions are welcome, the bulletin has a special interest in topics as natural history, range extensions, and local ornithology development. Color photographs and illustrations are welcome for the papers.

El boletín SAO es el órgano divulgativo de la sociedad Antioqueña de ornitología y además de servir de vinculo entre sus miembros, busca establecer puentes con la comunidad ornitológica nacional e internacional, servir de testigo del desarrollo de la ornitología en Antioquia y en Colombia y contribuir a la educación de sus lectores en diversos aspectos de la vida de las aves, su estudio y conservación.
El boletín SAO publica investigaciones originales, comentarios, reseñas de libros, revisiones bibliográficas, e ilustraciones y fotografías de aves, en Castellano y en Ingles. Aunque todo tipo de contribución es bienvenida, el boletín tiene especial interés en notas sobre historia natural, ampliaciones de rango y desarrollo de la ornitología preferiblemente a una escala local. Fotografías e ilustraciones son bienvenidas con los artículos.
