Wildlife Medicine Internship Available for 2022 – We are a COVID Safe Workplace
An internship with Nature’s Educators is intended to be a learning experience focused on all aspects of wildlife triage, diagnosis, animal care, husbandry, welfare, and wildlife rehabilitation. Interns will learn skills such as handling techniques, cleaning and sterilization procedures, diagnostic techniques, habitat enrichment, diets, feeding and medication methods, and will assist experienced staff and veterinarians in all aspects of daily care. You may also have the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops focused on animal topics and career building.
We strive to teach based on intern goals, but also to provide a well-rounded experience. Our internships are intended to provide experience and on-the-job training so that you leave us with a good foundation and experience to take to your future careers.
For in-state internship requests we offer part-time (24 hours a week) and full-time (32 hours a week) internships for 3 months. Interns are expected to be here for full 8 hour days. This provides a well-rounded experience of what goes on at Nature’s Educators. We will consider school related, out of state requests and special circumstances for a shorter amount of time on a case-by-case basis.
