We are looking for field assistants to support the monitoring of breeding great tits and blue tits, as part of a research project on the effects of urbanisation on bird behaviour and physiology, at Lund University in southern Sweden. Positions are from early April to early June 2020. We work at various field sites located in the regions of Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg and Göteborg, and being based in one of these areas is essential. Basic accommodation at a low rate can be provided, close to Lund, if required.
There are openings for paid positions for those who already have relevant skills and experience (and are eligible to work in Sweden) and volunteer internships (1-2 months; accommodation and travel, within reason, covered) for those who wish to gain experience and skills in monitoring breeding birds, and handling and ringing of birds.
Details of employment, including required qualifications and experience, and details for application, can be found here.
Inquiries for both fixed-term employment and volunteer internships should be sent to Hannah Watson hannah.watson@biol.lu.se
Positions will be based within the urban avian ecology research group, within the Department of Biology at Lund Unviersity. You can read more about our research on our individual profile pages: Caroline Isaksson and Hannah Watson.
