    Migration Monitoring Assistant

    Volunteer assistants will participate in both our passerine and Northern Saw-whet Owl protocols. Our season commences on August 1 and runs until October 31. Activities involve visual observations, banding, scribing, extracting, data entry, and daily station chores. We are located at a remote site on the north shore of Lake Superior. Assistants staying for 3 or more weeks have food and accommodation provided. Shorter term Volunteers pay a daily fee of $17.50 CAD. Training is provided for enthusiastic individuals who have a keen interest in avian study.
