Primary duties of this position will be to assist with capturing and tagging kestrels, finding a subset of tagged birds in the field to download data, monitoring a large population of nest boxes at frequent intervals, weighing and banding nestling kestrels, and entering and maintaining databases.  The ideal candidate should have experience with a) handling kestrels or other small raptors, b) safely applying backpack telemetry harnesses, and c) managing data collection for study populations that nest asynchronously.  Good driving record and excellent physical fitness required, with experience working outdoors in humid climates.
