The Hilliardton Marsh Research and Education Center is located in northeastern Ontario and is a high volume and high diversity research station that promises an incredible opportunity to band boreal specialists. We are looking to hire a Bander in Charge for our Spring Season, from May 1st - June 7th. We are looking to employ a qualified individual with prior experience in banding.
As the Bander in Charge, one can expect to oversee the banding of roughly 20 species of warblers and many other boreal passerines. Each spring we band over 6000 birds and over 60 species. The Bander in Charge will be expected to work early hours, conduct occasional censuses, educate visiting members of the public, and oversee the efforts of our volunteer team. Rustic accommodations are available on-site.
Please direct resumes and references and inquiries to Bruce Murphy via email birdboy369@gmail. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a great team. Good luck.
