The Hawkwatch Intern/Educator assists the Hawkwatcher at the Kiptopke Hawkwatch in identifying migrating hawks and also interacts with visitors to the hawkwatch platform, helping them understand hawk migration and identification. The main requirements are enthusiasm and the ability to work outside all day. Our training will cover the specifics. The ability to identify migrating hawks is not required, though is certainly helpful.
The job runs from September 1 to October 31. The pay is $750 per month and free housing is provided at a National Wildlife Refuge three miles away, so transportation is needed.
