Field assistant needed from the beginning of June (2-4 weeks) to help with radio telemetry, mist-netting, banding, fitting tracking devices and morphometric data collection. Applicants should enjoy being outdoors (we will be camping close to the field sites) and should be willing to work outside under any weather conditions. Previous bird handling experience is not required but favored.
This is a volunteer position, but transportation to and from the field site as well as accommodation and meals are provided.
In this project, we will track songbirds on migration to quantify the phenotype of a long-distance migrant.
If interested please send a brief cover letter stating your motivation and contact details to Hannah Justen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
