MRBO is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, creative and detail-oriented student for our summer 2019 Education Internship. The camp’s programs and activities are focused on exploration, improving observational and outdoor skills, encouraging critical thinking, increasing knowledge of Missouri’s native species, physical activities and, of course, having fun! Campers are between the ages of 8-11 yrs. old and there are typically 3-8 campers attending each day (max.16). The intern would assist the Education Coordinator with developing, prepping and performing educational activities for camp. The Education Internship requires a consecutive six-week commitment starting the week of May 20th and ending the week of July 1st, 2019. There is the possibility of extension if further education events are scheduled into July. The internship requires about 30 hours a week and work hours will vary from week to week.

This internship provides a weekly stipend of $200 for living expenses. Housing is provided if desired at our office in Arrow Rock. The office is located in the Historic Lawless House with modern amenities such as air conditioning, full bath and modern kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must have effective communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must possess the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and be available to work occasional weekends. Public speaking skills are highly encouraged.
