We are looking for 1-2 nightjar field technicians to assist with Elora Grahame's Ph.D. research on Common Nighthawks and Eastern Whip-poor-wills from May 1 to ~August 15, 2021 in Muskoka Lakes, Ontario.
Position is paid (fixed stipend based on hourly rate). Housing is provided.
Job duties include: nocturnal fieldwork, capturing birds using mist-nets, tracking individuals with radio-telemetry, nest-searching & monitoring, and hands-on experience with awesome birds!
Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong interest in wildlife research and be passionate about birds and nature.
