Come up to visit the boreal forest of northern Canada and learn about bird banding techniques. This course is good for beginner and moderate banders looking to gain experience and delve deeper in the knowledge surrounding bird banding. Mornings will be in the field conducting bird banding activities to gain hands on experience with mist-nets, banding, scribing and station management. Afternoons will be spent in the classroom learning molt, aging, bird banding ethics and understanding Pyle. A truly great opportunity to understand some of our amazing northern birds!
This course runs September 22-28, 2019. 900$ CAD plus tax (not including accommodations or food).
