Participate in a long-term monitoring project of the breeding bird community in Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Individuals applying should have prior experience conducting point-count surveys, and know eastern breeding birds by sight and sound. We seek applicants with good color vision, able to hike and work independently in remote, rugged, and steep terrain. Field work starts in mid May and lasts until mid July or early Aug. Lakeside housing plus a stipend of $400 per week, internet access, and utilities will be provided. Many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and birding can be found in the immediate area.
