Rimouski Bird Observatory is a non-profit organization conducting bird surveys at two banding stations in the fall in eastern Québec. We are looking for (1) bander in charge to conduct banding operations in Gaspésie.
Experienced bander in charge (BIC) with knowledge of american north eastern birds and age and sex determination. Candidate should have or be eligible to a canadian bird banding license, have experience with high volume of birds (over 1000 birds weekly) and have strong leadership and teamworking skills. Having a personal vehicle is best. The candidate is expected to work daily (weather dependent) with the team to operate the banding station, should be in good physical condition, have a positive attitude and work long hours in sometimes adverse conditions (heat, cold, biting insects).

Start on september 10, end on october 4th for paid hours. We suggest that candidate participate to the banding operations prior to paid hours as an internal training.
