Job Ad: Project Coordinator - Golden Eagle Monitoring
Position: Project Coordinator (Contract)
Location: Remote (with occasional travel)
Organization: Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at the Association of Fish and Wildlife
Agencies. This role will focus on coordinating efforts between relevant State Fish and Wildlife Agencies (SFWAs),
the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and other key partners to identify areas for improved monitoring of
Golden Eagle populations to better inform renewable energy development across the western US. This is a two year
project aimed at improving conservation outcomes for eagles considering the rapid deployment of renewable
energy across the western US as well as establishing and fostering lasting multistakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify key state and federal stakeholders and assemble and staff task teams.
• Facilitate and manage regular communication and coordination between project stakeholders.
• Organize meetings, workshops, and webinars for task teams and external partners.
• Help design and manage comprehensive needs assessment survey in conjunction with social scientists.
• Support the development of standardized Golden Eagle monitoring protocols, recommendations, and data
management systems based on needs assessment.
• Provide timely updates and ensure deliverables are met on schedule.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, wildlife conservation, project management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in wildlife conservation
or environmental policy.
• Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with survey development, data collection, and analysis.
• Proficiency with project management tools and virtual meeting platforms.

Compensation:
• This is a part-time, 2-year contract position estimated at 15 hours per week at the rate of $50 per hour.
There are no benefits associated with this position.
