The Seaside Seabird Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of all of Florida's native wild birds. We are a new organization, founded in September of 2016, that took over the property from a previous organization. We are home to over 100+ permanently injured resident birds that are on display for the public to view and interact with, and our Sanctuary resides directly on the beach in Indian Shores, FL. We have a very small but dedicated staff of individuals in addition to a small crew of wonderful volunteers.
Our ideal candidate would be an individual who is experienced in marketing for non-profit organizations (preferably wildlife-focused) to develop new fundraising programs, manage donor stewardship and communication, create new outreach programs/activities, and expand the Sanctuary's education program. An individual with experience in the training and husbandry of "Avian Ambassadors" or other operant conditioning is highly desirable. This position will also be responsible for training volunteers and student interns interested in education and marketing.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
