Birmingham Audubon is Alabama’s leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting conservation and a greater knowledge of birds, their habitats, and the natural world.
We are currently accepting applications for a Coastal Biologist in our Mobile office. Birmingham Audubon’s Coastal Biologist will carry out the coastal scientific protocols and priorities established by the Science & Conservation Director, ensuring that scientific and stewardship tasks are performed with care and competence. Reporting to the Coastal Programs Coordinator, the Coastal Biologist will work directly with volunteers, interns, and seasonal stewards to protect nesting sites against threats from human disturbance in both Mobile and Baldwin Counties. He/she will also work with other staff to execute our outreach and educational mandates, and to advance our research goals.
