The Aeroecology group at the University of Oklahoma is looking for enthusiastic students who want to lead the next wave in our understanding of life in the air. We seek graduate students (2-3) interested in advancing our understanding the response of seasonal migrations of flying animals to global environmental change. Research will be focused on both avian and insect migrants. The research will involve field biology as well as data science (integration and analysis of weather radar and other remotely sensed environmental data; experience field sampling with UAS also a plus). The positions will be funded at ~$24,000/y for 3 years with a tuition waiver. We are an open and inclusive group that aspires to represent the diversity of society. Applications that evince both existing knowledge and future potential for creative interdisciplinary science will be most competitive. Please send a cover letter, resume, and names and contact information of references to Jeff Kelly (email@example.com).
