The Grunst lab at Indiana State University is recruiting a Master’s or PhD student to start in the Spring semester of 2025. We are interested in students interested in conducting research at the interface between avian behavioral ecology and conservation biology. Particular areas of research in the lab include: 1) Effects of multiple climate change-associated stressors on subarctic seabirds on the Pribilof islands, Alaska, focusing on interactions between chemical contamination and climate change, and 2) Combined effects of urbanization, pollution and climate change (heat stress) on song sparrows, chickadees and other passerine species near Terre Haute, Indiana. $13500 per academic year plus tuition coverage is guaranteed via teaching assistantships. Additional compensation may be available for field work periods.
