Specific goals include developing a clear understanding of ptarmigan winter and summer range, mapping potential habitat for ptarmigan, and predicting potential impacts of climate change on ptarmigan populations and migration. The project will be conducted in collaboration with staff from Nunatsiavut Government, members of local communities of Labrador, and staff from both the Newfoundland and Labrador Wildlife Division and Parks Canada.
