The Biology Department at Missouri State University invites applications for a nontenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor for the academic year 2025-26. Requirements include a Ph.D. in biology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices and increasing student diversity and retention. Primary duties include teaching both lectures and labs of ornithology and lectures in biogeography, population genetics and introductory biology, divided among Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. Additional duties may include undergraduate academic advising and service activities. The expected teaching load per semester is 12 contact hours. The salary is $ 65-67K.
