Agency Univ of Arizona - School of Natural Resources & the Environment Location Tucson, Arizona Job Category Faculty Appointments Salary Dependent on experience Start Date 08/13/2018 Last Date to Apply 04/01/2018 Website https://snre.arizona.edu/career-track-professor-practice-snre Description The School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE) at the University of Arizona seeks a Career Track Professor (Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice) to teach traditional and online courses that would include a selection from Wildlife Conservation & American Culture, Conservation of Natural Environments, Natural Resources Ecology, Ecological Surveys and Sampling, Natural Resources Management Practices, Sustainable Earth, and geospatial-themed courses. This is a 9-month teaching position (1.0 FTE) and is non-tenure eligible, assistant/associate rank with opportunities to advance in rank (Assistant to Associate; Associate to Full), and subject to renewable contracts. Review of applications begins on 1 March and will continue until the position is filled. The position begins August 13th, 2018. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following: Master’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, or other such related discipline; Teaching and student-mentoring experience in traditional classroom settings at a college or university level; and Demonstrated ability to design college/university-level curriculum. Preferred Qualifications: PhD in environmental sciences, natural resources, or other related disciplines; Strong experience in the design and teaching of traditional and online courses at the college/university level; Demonstrated ability to inspire, engage, and motivate students; and Demonstrated excellence in participant-centered learning (PCL) at the college/university level.
