    The Department of Marine Science at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position to begin in Fall 2022. We seek applicants with a demonstrated commitment to teaching, and with interdisciplinary training in population biology, ecology, or conservation biology with a focus on marine megafauna, including but not limited to marine birds & mammals. Ideal applicants will have a strong background in field-based studies with a focus in one or more of the following: tagging and spatial movement ecology, population and community ecology, trophic dynamics, resource conservation biology, and/or modeling. We seek candidates who will complement the strengths of existing faculty.
