American Bird Conservancy Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 Seventy-six groups led by American Bird Conservancy, one of the nation's leading bird conservation organizations, have called on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to fully analyze the environmental consequences of a proposed North Dakota wind farm to the endangered Whooping Crane. FWS is considering issuing the first-ever Incidental Take Permit to a wind farm for the killing of endangered Whooping Cranes and threatened Piping Plovers.
