From WOS:

In 2025, The Wilson Journal of Ornithology will be moving to a new publishing partner, Taylor & Francis. WOS members will continue to receive free access to The Wilson Journal of Ornithology online as a benefit of membership. Members can also elect to have the printed version of the WJO mailed to them for an additional $60 per year.

Beginning with the 2025 volume, articles will become available on the new WJO website as soon as they are published, with published articles bundled into issues four times a year. Articles are citable as soon as they are published online. The WOS will continue our existing distribution partnerships with BioOne, ProQuest, JSTOR, and Cengage. Taylor & Francis will also bundle the WJO in their Ornithology and Zoology portfolios and expand the journal’s reach to a wider global audience.

As part of this transition, the Wilson Ornithological Society will be eliminating page charges for all authors. By eliminating the cost of publishing to all authors, the WOS is removing a major barrier that has long existed for ornithologists who lack institutional funding for publication of their work. Authors will also continue to have the option to make their articles Open Access, freely available under a Creative Commons license, for a fee of $3,068. WOS members will receive a 25% discount on this Open Access option.

The new manuscript submission portal is already up and running and can be accessed at the new WJO website. We are currently configuring this new site so that new content and the electronic archive of previous volumes will begin appearing in January. Note that as of now, the member access link in the WOS member portal still leads to the Allen Press site, but this will be updated soon as content is migrated to Taylor & Francis.

Anyone with questions about the transition can reach the journal editors at editor.wjo@gmail.com. Thank you, as always, for your support of our venerable journal!
