Vidya Padmakumar Posted September 25 Share Posted September 25 We are pleased to announce our forthcoming publication titled "Birds and Persistent Organic Pollutants: Exposure, Effects, and Risk Assessment" with "Springer Nature" that aims to comprehensively explore the ecotoxicological impact of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) on avian species. This book will provide an in-depth analysis of the sources, pathways, and levels of POPs in birds, as well as their potential effects on various physiological systems, reproduction, and development. We invite authors to contribute solid research work that delve into the various aspects of the ecotoxicological impact of POPs on avifauna. Potential topics for submission include and are not limited to - POPs in Avian Ecotoxicology Sources, Pathways, and Levels of POPs in Birds Effects of POPs on Avian Physiology Assessing Risks of POPs for Birds and Ecosystems Case Studies and Practical Applications Submission of Proposals/Abstracts - October 15, 2024 Acceptance/ Rejection Notifications - 7 - 8 days from receipt of proposals Proposed Date of Book Publication - November 30, 2025 We kindly ask you to submit a chapter proposal/abstract in a Word document within 300 words. Usage of AI is limited to 10%. After receiving proposals, we will review them and inform you of the results. If accepted, official invitations will be sent to the corresponding author with instructions on manuscript preparation, submission guidelines, and deadlines. Upon editorial acceptance of a submission, there will be a publication fee of 100 USD to cover publication and processing costs.
