The Great Basin Bird Observatory will be offering a workshop for individuals who will be surveying for or are interested in Yellow-billed Cuckoos. This workshop will cover cuckoo biology and identification and the current survey methodology. We will spend the afternoon (1pm to 5pm) of 5 July going over behavior, I.D., vocalizations, and common species that can be confused with cuckoos. On the morning (6am to 10am) of 6 July we will go to the field and conduct a survey, work on filling out the forms, and address any questions participants may have. All participants will receive a copy of the current survey methodology and a cuckoo survey CD.
