The application consists of a single pdf file named with the student surname and initials (e.g. “Smith AC”) and must contain:

(2) A brief curriculum vitae informing:
a) country of residence,
b) name of supervisor,
c) name of institution (city, country),
d) level and name of undergraduate course or graduate program (include if Master’s degree or PhD),
e) year when became a member of the NOS,
f) publications (only published or accepted),
g) any other relevant information.
(3) Information of the scientific area of the study to be presented:

- evolution,
- biogeography,
- conservation.
(4) An expanded abstract (not to exceed one page) of the presentation, in English, Spanish or Portuguese indicating whether the paper was part of a symposium, an oral presentation, or a poster.

The single pdf file with all the information listed above must be emailed until 10 June 2015 to the Chair of the NOS Student Travel Award Committee (Cristina Miyaki cristina.miyaki@gmail.com). Only complete applications and those received until the deadline will be considered.

The 10 selected students will be contacted by email by the NOS Treasurer with instructions on how to proceed. In case the email address of any selected student has changed and was not informed to the Chair of the NOS Student Travel Award Committee, and the NOS Treasurer cannot contact the selected student, the next best ranked student will be contacted. The NOS Treasurer will only contact selected students. If the student is not a member of the NOS, part of the funds will be used to pay for his/her membership.
