AOS offers eight awards:

  • Nellie Johnson Baroody Award
  • Robert B. Berry Student Award
  • Mark E. Hauber Award
  • A. Brazier Howell Award
  • Frances F. Roberts Award
  • 3 AOS Council Awards
The Baroody, Howell, Roberts, and Council awards are given for the best presentation on any topic in ornithology. The Berry award is given for the best oral presentation on a topic pertaining to avian conservation. The Hauber award is given for the best oral presentation on avian behavior.
