This work is the answer for all those bird fans who have longed to have a book that offers both a high technical quality and that is also illustrated. More than 20 top level scientists and specialists have developed the 23 chapters covering those raptors that are most representative of Europe. The best nature photographers, some of whom have been awarded the world’s most prestigious prizes, bring colour to a book that gives us a different perspective from everything published beforehand. All the basic information about each of the species dealt with is summarized in a fact sheet at the end of each chapter thereby leaving the rest of the text to explain the recent experiences of management and previously unpublished characteristics, sharing with the reader through scientific rigor, in an entertaining and direct manner, all the information needed to become an expert in the world of the birds of prey.

The structure of each chapter always begins with a photograph of a portrait of the species spreads.

Each photo is carefully selected in this work and, as shown below, no double-page cut in half the reason for the image. As illustrations of action within each chapter.

All the basic information of each species treated is summarized in a tab at the end of each chapter, leaving the rest of the text in order to expose current management experience and unprecedented features that, from the scientific rigor, will share with the reader in a pleasant and direct all the information you need to become an expert in the world of birds.

There are two types of images in the work, the "artistic" and documentaries. We have shown would be artistic. Require documentary photographs providing details on the biology, behavior and identification of the species. It is very important to understand the importance of these photographs as they bring the book so far unpublished material. This is the first published identification keys, sex and ages of several species of raptors.
