    MANOMET BIRD OBSERVATORY SEEKS FALL 2018 SEASONAL BANDING ASSISTANTS (15 AUG - 15 NOV). The Manomet Bird Observatory at Manomet, MA invites applications by e-mail for two (2) seasonal banding assistants. Band 5 days per week (experienced banders only please); it is an additional advantage if you have experience with and enjoy teaching visitors of all ages about birds. Experience with eastern birds most useful, but other experienced North American banders welcome. Enthusiasm for long hours and attention to detail are essential. Live free on 40 acres by Cape Cod Bay, town nearby (walking), and most facilities available. You will help supervise and train 2 other banders and volunteers to run 50 nets dawn to dusk. Stipend $515-525 per week for the season, depending on experience. All applicants must be available for the entire season 15 August - 15 November.     Manomet Bird Observatory in Plymouth, MA invites applications by e-mail for one remaining seasonal banding assistant position - to be filled as soon as possible. All applicants must be available for the entire season 15 April - 15 June. Applicants must illustrate significant experience mist-netting, banding, ageing and sexing passerines and near-passerines. Applicants must possess an advanced knowledge of the birds found in the Eastern US. It is an additional advantage if you have experience with and enjoy teaching visitors of all ages about birds. Band 5 days per week and help lead, supervise and train 2 other banders and volunteers to run 50 nets dawn to dusk. Enthusiasm for long hours and attention to detail are essential.
