The position would begin in the fall of 2018. The successful candidate will be involved in assessing the response of arctic and temperate songbirds to sleep loss by measuring hormonal, physiological, and neurobiological parameters. In addition, the successful candidate will gain experience as a teaching assistant for a biology undergraduate course during the fall and spring semesters. Qualifications A B.S. degree in biology, or closely related discipline is required. Additional requirements include: competitive GRE scores, prior independent research experience, demonstrated excellence in course work, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently and as a team member. Previous experience with bird research is preferred, but not required.
