Fern Davies Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 ENGLISH VERSION BELOW BECAS DE VIAJE PARA ESTUDIANTES IX CONGRESO DE ORNITOLOGÍA NEOTROPICAL http://www.ixconperu2011.org/ PERÚ 8 – 14 NOVIEMBRE 2011 Fecha límite para la aplicación: 16 de septiembre del 2011 Colega Ornitólogo: La Sociedad de Ornitología Neotropical (SON) ofrece becas de viaje para cubrir parcialmente los gastos de viaje a estudiantes que participen en el IX Congreso de Ornitología Neotropical. Para optar a una beca, los estudiantes deberán participar en un simposio, hacer una exposición oral o presentar un cartel. El Comité de Becas de Viaje para Estudiantes (CBVE) asignará las becas competitivamente, en base a la calidad de las propuestas; sin embargo, se dará prioridad a los miembros de la SON y de la Unión de Ornitólogos del Perú. También se dará preferencia a los estudiantes que hayan sido invitados a un simposio o los que sean autores únicos de ponencias o primeros autores en trabajos en co-autoría. Guía para las solicitudes: La beca de viaje podrá ser asignada una vez que el resumen de su presentación haya sido aceptado por el Comité del Programa Científico; por lo tanto, además de presentar su solicitud de beca al CBVE, es imprescindible que su resumen haya sido previamente enviado a la organización del Congreso de acuerdo a las indicaciones del sitio web de la Conferencia (ixconperu2011.org). Haga su solicitud de inmediato. Para solicitar su beca, debe enviar: 1. Un resumen – en castellano, inglés o portugués, que no exceda una página impresa. 2. Curriculum vitae resumido incluyendo el nombre y firma del tutor o supervisor actual, y el sello institucional. 3. Certificación de que el resumen ha sido aceptado por el Comité del Programa Científico. 4. Una lista de los gastos de viaje que anticipa realizar. Las solicitudes deben ser enviadas antes del 16 de septiembre del 2011, en un correo-electrónico a: Dr. Francisco J. To be eligible for an award, students must participate in a symposium, or present an oral paper or poster. The Student Travel Awards Committee (STAC) will award grants competitively on the basis of the quality of presentations, but priority will be given to members of the Neotropical Ornithological Society (NOS) and the Unión de Ornitólogos del Perú. Preference will also be given to students who have been invited to a symposium or are sole author or senior author on co-authored papers. Guidelines for applications: Travel award can be granted only after the abstract(s) for a presentation has been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee; therefore, in addition to your application to the STAC, you must submit the abstract as directed on the Conference web site http://www.ixconperu2011.org. Apply now. To apply for a travel award submit: An expanded abstract(s) – in Spanish, English or Portuguese - should not exceed one printed page. A brief resume and name and signature of the current supervisor, including an institutional stamp. Confirmation that the abstract has been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee.
